Dear Parishioners,

The month of May has been dedicated to the Virgin Mary by Christians. She is the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and of all in our human family. In Her apparitions, including those at Fatima, She explicitly asked, “My dear children, pray the Rosary!” Her challenge is demanding but achievable! Saint John Henry Newman gave the reason for this: “because it is the time when the earth bursts forth into its fresh foliage and its green grass after the stern frost and snow of winter…. It is because the blossoms are upon the trees…. For such gladness and joyousness of external nature is a fit attendant on our devotion to her who is the Mystical Rose and the House of Gold.” Each decade of the Holy Rosary is a spiritual rose offered to our Blessed Mother Mary as a sign of love and trust. It is also to obtain us of Her protection and promises. Hence, would you consider praying the Rosary every day throughout the month of May? God bless you and please remember me in your prayer.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Joseph

New to Our Parish?

Mission Statement

St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church being part of the universal church shares in its mission:  To proclaim Jesus Christ who came to the world to fulfill His father’s will; by proclaiming the kingdom of God, building up the parish community as a witness to God’s love and care for the world and helping one another to become what God has called us to be. We are therefore encouraged to work toward God’s purpose of “wanting all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim 2:4)
